Information about university education
The L.M.D training system is characterized by three stages:
- The first stage: Bachelor (Licence) - The training duration is three years.
- The second stage: Master - The training duration is two years.
- The third stage: Doctorate - The training duration is three years.
At each stage, the study paths are organized into teaching units grouped into semesters.
The Bachelor's Degree:
This training stage is organized in two phases: a multidisciplinary basic phase lasting from one to four semesters, dedicated to acquiring the methodological principles of university life and discovering it. This phase is followed by specialized training in two branches:
- An academic branch: Crowned with a Bachelor's degree that allows its holder to directly pursue longer and more specialized university studies. This possibility depends on the acquired qualifications, the results obtained, and the admission conditions.
- A professional branch: Crowned with a Bachelor's degree that allows its holder direct integration into the working world. Its programs are determined in close consultation with the employment sector.
The Master's Degree:
This training stage lasts two years and is open to any student holding an academic Bachelor's degree who meets the admission conditions. Holders of a professional Bachelor's degree can also return to the university after spending a period in the working world.
- Professional Master: Characterized by acquiring broader training in a specific field, qualifying its holder for higher levels of performance and competitiveness. The orientation of this path remains strictly professional.
- Research Master: Characterized by preparing the concerned person for scientific research and qualifying them for research activities in the university or economic sector. The Master's degree highlights the performance of the university institution.
The Doctorate Degree:
This training is crowned with a Doctorate degree after preparing a research thesis. It is characterized by deepening knowledge in the specialty and research training (developing the aptitude to practice research).
Doctoral training can include lectures, workshops, seminars, and semesterly presentations given by the student.
